MAP Testing This Week!
The NWEA MAP Test (Measures of Academic Progress) is an adaptive achievement and growth test. It creates a personalized assessment experience by adapting to each student's learning level—precisely measuring progress and growth for each individual student. The purposes for the MAP Tests include:
Identify what concepts and skills a student is ready to learn next
Measure growth over time
Help identify students in need of further intervention
The MAP Tests are administered three time per year; a Beginning of Year Test to establish students' strengths and areas for improvement, followed by Middle of Year, and End of Year tests to measure student growth.
The MOY and EOY tests rely so much on the baseline data established with the BOY test; therefore, it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that we have 100% of our students take and complete the BOY MAP Tests.
Parents, please encourage your students to do their best and take the MAP Tests seriously. Since it is taken on their devices and they don't take long to complete, our students sometimes do not try real hard or take the MAP Tests seriously. We really need them to so that we can acquire accurate data for each kiddo!
PS - Virtual Students will not take the MAP Tests according to this schedule. Virtual students will have a different schedule and that will be communicated to you by their Virtual instructors.
