Superintendent’s Star Award
Each month during the school year, students from our elementary schools are selected to receive the Superintendent’s Star Award for outstanding citizenship.
As Eleanor Roosevelt stated, "People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built."
These young students have been chosen from their campus based on the virtues of outstanding character, citizenship, fairness, honesty, kindness, respect, responsibility and trustworthiness.
Lincoln Laman is in the fourth grade and he is a stellar student in all academic areas. His classmates would agree that he is a loyal friend with a kind soul. His strengths are: he does everything with a happy heart, he does chores with a smile 90% of the time, his homework, and karate.
Lincoln is an avid reader and enjoys reading the Harry Potter series. He is extremely loving and caring to his pets (3 dogs, one very old that has special needs,) and he is a good brother to his sister. He is a great helper at home and school. He loves to be creative, loves art, loves chocolate cake, and loves Minecraft of course!
He is working toward his black belt graduation in karate, this fall, which is a large ceremony and public demonstration.
